Mercedes-Benz has officially launched a new retrofit option for the AMG GLE SUV and Coupé (Type: 167), offering owners the opportunity to upgrade their vehicles with genuine AMG steering wheel buttons, code U88. 

A Closer Look at the AMG Steering Wheel Buttons Retrofit

The retrofit kit is designed to give your steering wheel a more sporty appearance while enhancing functionality. Reminiscent of Formula 1 steering wheels, the new AMG buttons allow for fast and precise operation of various dynamic driving functions. This upgrade ensures that drivers can keep their hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road, offering an authentic racing atmosphere inside the GLE.

Key features include two function displays with toggle switches on the left side of the steering wheel, whose functionalities can be assigned to different AMG features like manual mode selection, AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension adjustments, ESP® activation/deactivation, and AMG performance exhaust system switching. Additionally, a function display on the right features a round rotary control for selecting and displaying driving programs.
