3 Red Lobster Restaurants Close In SoCal On Monday

Red Lobster Temporary Closures in Southern California

According to the company's website, Red Lobster restaurants in three Southern California locations are "temporarily closed," with dozens more nationwide suddenly shuttered. The closures occurred on Monday without prior notice.

Closed Restaurants in Southern California:

  • Montclair: 9345 Monte Vista
  • San Diego: 8330 Mira Mesa Blvd.
  • Torrance: 21233 Hawthorne Blvd.

While the majority of California restaurants remain open, five locations in Northern California are also closed, including restaurants in Chico, Fremont, Redding, Rohnert Park, and Sacramento.

Various media reports suggest that the number of temporary closures nationwide is around 80, but these reports only include two of the California closures.

Just last month, Red Lobster reported that it was considering filing for bankruptcy after suffering a substantial loss from its endless shrimp promotion. The restaurant has been seeking a buyer but is facing multiple problems, including being cut off by a key supplier.
